How much do you really know about the food you’re consuming?

What one might see as ‘healthy’, could be the complete opposite. It’s crucial to know, and also understand the ingredients in the food you eat.

Nowadays, there are so many companies trying to perceive and sell you a ‘healthy’ product which might aid in weight loss. However, more often than not, these types of food groups are full of additives and preservatives, which of course, allow for a longer sell-by date.

At Mostassa, you actually get the opportunity to eat both nutritious and delicious food, with an understanding of the products used to create the delightful dishes.

It can be believed by many people that it’s not possible to eat tasty food whilst maintaining a heart healthy lifestyle; being environmentally, and ethically conscious. However, this is far from the truth and Mostassa is a fabulous example to prove this!

A few examples of the dishes at Mostassa:

  • Take the rather unhealthy Beef Burger and make it healthy by removing meat out of the equation and instead, bring in Quinoa. Quinoa is rich in protein and fibre, amongst many of its other benefits. Whereas eating beef can increase your chances of assimilating cardiovascular disease and certain cancers.
  • Then there’s the famous Hot Dog, this is a classic and frequent choice for many people when eating out. Yet it is full of chemically processed ingredients that will only damage your health and increase risks of attaining diseases. Mostassa have taken a spin on it and made it healthy. Instead of a white bread bun, it’s made with Spelt Flour. Spelt flour aids in lowering blood sugar and reducing cholesterol levels.
  • Everyone loves Pancakes but we don’t love the negative effects they have on our health. Mostassa have advantageously made the classic pancakes healthy, yet still tasty. They have a couple of options, one would include crème fraîche instead of a chocolate-flavoured sauce, which is full of saturated fats (these don’t do your heart health any favours). Topped with fruit and Agave Syrup (natural sugar). Agave can aid in weight loss due to its low impact on blood sugar, and it also lowers cholesterol levels which in turn reduces the risk of certain cancers.
